En Alemania se especializ\u00f3 en electrocat\u00e1lisis, que es un \u00e1rea de la electroqu\u00edmica de gran importancia en el estudio de determinados compuestos que pueden ser oxidados para, posteriormente, obtener energ\u00eda de ellos. Al margen de su trabajo en el laboratorio, ha ocupado varios cargos de gesti\u00f3n y es una firme defensora de impulsar el papel femenino en la ciencia: \u201cCreo que las chicas en las nuevas generaciones est\u00e1n tirando mucho para adelante. Cada vez que puedo, a mis alumnas les digo que no piensen en ning\u00fan momento que por ser mujeres no van a poder llegar.
