Tuesday January 16, 2024 - 13:34 CET

The Governing Council of the University of La Laguna held an online plenary session today, January 16, to address several procedural matters. One of these concerns the immediate payment of salary supplements to faculty members for achieving certain excellence objectives, valued by the Canary Islands University Quality Assurance Agency at a total of €400,000 for its 2023 call for proposals. The Social Council will now ratify this agreement, which was adopted unanimously today.

The members of the collegiate body have also given their approval to the modification of the regulations governing the figure of emeritus professors, in order to adjust the requests to the new academic calendar.

Similarly, the determination of the conditions for beneficiaries of the welfare aid to compensate for the expenses of university tuition and for the entrance tests to the academic center of the year 2024 for the workers of the University of La Laguna has been approved, a right that is exercised every year.
