The thirty-first edition of the Adeje Summer University, The event, which will take place from July 22nd to 26th, focuses on developing communication skills, a theme that this year's edition explores from various angles. A course and two workshops will delve into the practice of performing arts as a way to improve communication skills, the importance of communication in daily life, and the professional creation and production of podcasts.

The course “Performing arts for the development of communicative skills”, The course, directed by the young adult literature writer and professor at the University of La Laguna, Andrés González Novoa, which will take place from July 22nd to 24th in the afternoon, aims to provide students with the communicative skills that will help them in their personal and professional development, through the performing arts, creativity and imagination.

To achieve this, an active and participatory methodology will be used, incorporating elements of autobiographical research. Each of the expressive arts processes developed during the sessions will be explained, drawing on the work of renowned educational theorist David Kolb. Creating an experiential learning process based on observation and reflection will enable students to unleash their creativity at any stage of life.

The course will enable participants to acquire basic concepts regarding communication skills, mastery of stagecraft tools and techniques, and the ability to create narratives in different genres and styles. All of this will be addressed in various presentations. The program begins with “Stagecraft Strategies for Developing Communication Skills for Life,” presented by González Novoa himself, along with Diego González Reinfeld and Fabio Guillermo González Torres.

Secondly, the same instructors present “How to Fictionalize Experience to Construct Life Narratives.” This session explores how to translate personal experiences, anecdotes, and life events into narratives, increasing the audience's attention and understanding. Finally, the workshop “From the Written Word to Orality: From Graphomotor to Voice. Once Upon a Time, Your Own Life” analyzes how to convey personal experiences with emotion.
