The contemporary clown show 'Solo Eva', by the Goat Company, The concert arrives at the Paraninfo of the University of La Laguna tomorrow, Saturday, February 1st, at 8:30 p.m. Tickets, priced at 10 euros, are available here. link.

Isabel Morera, an artist from El Hierro who was nicknamed 'goat' as a child, is the representative of this company. She has studied illustration, music, dance, and theater, focusing primarily on the art of clowning since 2010. She has trained at various schools, including Hangar Manicómicos (Galicia), Nouveau Colombier (Madrid), La Estupenda (Granada), and PayaSOSpital (Valencia), among others.

“Being a clown has been a surprise, and it still is. It’s been about accepting that, after all the times I’ve been told, I must be ‘crazy as a loon,’ or at least a little bit…,” she admits. “To resist and keep dreaming, feeling, playing, and failing in a basically mercantilist society, where other values are considered normal, normative because they predominate, is madness,” the artist explains.

In this piece, she embodies a contemporary Eve of flesh and blood, “without original sin and with a bitten apple. Without Adam and with piety…her yearning for freedom.” This Eve will show us her everyday life “in order to name the unusual, to rename herself and together, by resignifying the myth, to rediscover paradise,” she proposes in the performance at the Paraninfo of the University of La Laguna.
