The Association of University Radio Stations of Spain (ARU), to which the University of La Laguna belongs through the Radio Campus Cultural Classroom, presents a new collaborative podcast entitled "University Z and Audio" which will be broadcast today, February 13, coinciding with World Radio Day and as a closing event to the celebration of the centenary of this medium in Spain.
The proposal, part of the new Laboratorio-ARU project, is a ninety-minute non-fiction narrative piece in which members of fifteen university radio stations explore the present and future of radio and audio in Spain. To do so, they have analyzed and delved into aspects such as information dissemination in this audio medium, its social function, current perceptions of radio, and its future, through interviews and testimonials.
The podcast has been coordinated by Asier Leoz Aizpuru, a professor at the University of Deusto, and can be heard on the official ARU website, which will also include extra material from the project, such as the complete audio recordings produced by each of the participating university radio stations.
This time, in addition to Radio Campus, Europea Radio, OndaCampus, RadiUS Sevilla, the following stations participated: the University of Navarra, Huelva, Nebrija, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Jaume I, Catholic University of Murcia, Almería, InfoRadio UCM, Deusto Irratia, Radio Olavide and Radio Unizar.
The Association of University Radios of Spain is the first entity of Spanish university radios and its objective is to promote cooperation and interaction between them, both in mutual advice and in the development of co-production, educational and training programs, as well as new radio formats.
