The Governing Council of the University of La Laguna held a plenary session today, Friday, December 19th, to address several procedural matters, marking its last meeting of the year. During this session, several issues related to the Vice-Rectorate for Students and others pertaining to the University's Administration were approved.
Thus, a partial modification of the regulations governing the Tutorial Action Plan was approved, outlining two pathways for assigning faculty tutors. The university's evaluation and grading regulations also underwent some changes, addressing potential overlaps that may arise for students participating in mobility programs, who may be taking courses from different years or even different degree programs, potentially leading to course overlaps. A procedure has been established to resolve these cases.
The institution's manager, Lidia Pereira, spoke at the online session to remind attendees of the approval of 20 PTGAS civil servant positions at the previous Governing Council meeting, combining open competition with internal promotion, pending confirmation of whether it was possible to incorporate three more positions in the Library Service. For procedural security, the expansion of positions in the administrative and management scale was approved today by the governing body, adding three more library positions.
Pereira also presented the regulations for managing and registering agreements at the academic center, based on the single file criterion, thus avoiding the dispersion of documents and resources and combining all the information related to the same matter into a single file, which will also facilitate subsequent supervision, he added.
