The Off-Film School, created by the production team of El Viaje Films, responsible for the film The Fight, Jose Alayón's project begins its activity with four micro-credentials from the University of La Laguna between April and May. microcredentials These are subsidized training courses, endorsed by the University, through which students will receive an official ECTS certificate, valid in the European Higher Education Area. Located in the El Chapatal area of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the new center, directed by Alayón himself, aims to function as a hub for filmmaking in the heart of the city.

The team responsible for the school fully agrees with this objective, given its proven ability to create internationally acclaimed films and the experience accumulated in training through the activities developed by the Institute of Film Training and Research (IFIC), which is at the origin of this new initiative and whose certified training quality has been guaranteed for over 10 years. Having our own physical space allows us to sustain work that inspires enthusiasm for auteur cinema, capable of cultivating new talent for creative filmmaking in the Canary Islands. Once the launch phase of The Fight, ”We believe it’s a good time to focus on this project,” explains Jose Alayón in his new role as director of Fuera de Campo.

In this way, the space created at number 5 Pintor Martín González street, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, serves as a venue for creative and quality workshops, face-to-face training activities, master classes and other initiatives, which begin from April 20 with four courses that emphasize different facets of film production and distribution and that are part of the ULL's "University Microcredentials" learning experience program.
