a day<\/a> The event, which will run until 7:00 p.m., will feature presentations from leading national experts on the topic of care for highly sensitive people (HSPs). This group refers to individuals who exhibit a personality trait known as "sensitivity to sensory processing" and are characterized by deep and thorough information processing; heightened emotionality and empathy, leading to greater emotional reactivity; and a much more detailed processing of their environment, which can overload their cognitive and emotional systems, potentially leading to over-saturation.<\/p>\nThe inauguration will be attended by the rector of the University of Laguna, Francisco Garc\u00eda; the deputy minister of Universities and Research of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ciro Guti\u00e9rrez; the dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy, Juan Manuel Bethencourt; and the president of PAS Spain, Manuela P\u00e9rez.<\/p>\n
During the sessions, several researchers from the University of La Laguna will participate, such as \u00c1frica Borges, Antonio Rodr\u00edguez, Mois\u00e9s Betancort and Francesca Vital; and also from external entities, including the popular education popularizer C\u00e9sar Bona; the creator of the \u201cNeuroharmonia\u201d space Maartje van der Meij; and the psychologist specializing in intercultural couple therapy Karina Larrigue, among other speakers.<\/p>\n
