The University of La Laguna, through its Human Resources Department<\/a>, The stabilization processes for 92 public employees belonging to the Technical, Management and Administration and Services Personnel (PTGAS), both contract and civil servant, have been successfully completed within the legally established period, that is, before December 31, 2024. These procedures correspond to the additional rate for the stabilization of temporary employment, as established in Law 20\/2021, of December 28, which seeks to reduce temporary employment in public employment.<\/p>\n

A total of 29 selection processes have been processed to stabilize the 92 employees, as reported by the rector, Francisco Garc\u00eda, in yesterday's session of the Governing Council.<\/p>\n

Within the scope of the PTGAS labor program, 23 specialties were filled through competitive examination, resulting in 57 public employees being granted permanent positions. Three specialties were filled through a combined competitive examination and merit-based assessment process, resulting in 5 public employees being granted permanent positions. A total of 763 applications were submitted for these processes, requiring 804 sessions of the various selection panels.<\/p>\n

In addition, for the PTGAS civil service, two competitive selection processes were carried out, resulting in the permanent appointment of 24 public employees, and two processes were conducted using a combined competitive examination and merit-based assessment system, which led to the permanent appointment of 6 public employees. A total of 627 applications were received, and 113 sessions of the corresponding selection boards were held.<\/p>\n

It has been three years of work since the negotiation of the Public Employment Offer, the publication of the corresponding calls for applications to fill the positions and their resolution, before December 31, 2024, which has involved the effort of a large group of people.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the stabilization procedures in the PTGAS labor have generated 24 job pools, with 229 members in different specialties, which guarantee the University of La Laguna the availability of lists of labor personnel to fill positions when necessary.<\/p>\n

Among the stabilized positions are, in the PTGAS civil servant, those corresponding to the scale of Administrative and the scale of Assistants of Archive, Libraries and Museums and, in the PTGAS labor, the Professional Group of Middle Graduate in the specialties of Ergonomics and Applied Psychology, Informatics, Prosector and Technician of Agricultural Operations, the Professional Group of Maintenance Technician in the specialties of Locksmithing, Masonry and Lathe Mechanics.<\/p>\n

It also includes the Professional Group of Specialist Technician in the specialties of Cook, Computer Science and Boatswain, the Professional Group of Laboratory Technician in the specialties of Bioexperimental and Instrumental Technician, the Professional Group of Officer in the specialties of Kitchen Assistant, Animal Facility-Farm, Painting, Masonry, Parks and Gardens, Library, Artistic Techniques, Laboratory, Physics and Electronics, Computer Science and General Maintenance-Carpentry and in the Professional Group of Assistant in the specialties of Concierge and Kitchen.<\/p>\n

This progress represents a significant step towards consolidating public employment at the University of La Laguna, ensuring a more stable future for professionals in this group.<\/p>\n
