{"id":1884,"date":"2025-02-18T14:24:41","date_gmt":"2025-02-18T13:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ull.es\/portal\/noticias\/2025\/02\/18\/damian-perea-premiado-recientemente-con-un-goya-participa-en-una-charla-en-la-universidad-de-la-laguna-2\/"},"modified":"2025-02-18T14:24:41","modified_gmt":"2025-02-18T13:24:41","slug":"damian-perea-premiado-recientemente-con-un-goya-participa-en-una-charla-en-la-universidad-de-la-laguna-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ull.es\/portal\/noticias\/en\/2025\/02\/18\/damian-perea-premiado-recientemente-con-un-goya-participa-en-una-charla-en-la-universidad-de-la-laguna-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Dami\u00e1n Perea, recently awarded a Goya, participates in a talk at the University of La Laguna"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cultural Design Classroom and the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of La Laguna have organized a talk with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.damianperea.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Damian Perea<\/a>, recent winner of the Goya Award for best animated short film for \u00abCafun\u00e9\u00bb, tomorrow Wednesday, February 19 at 13:15 at the aforementioned center.<\/p>\n<p>The talk will be developed in collaboration with Animayo, the International Festival of Animation, Special Effects and Video Games, through a dynamic, interactive and experiential approach, combining personal narrative with analysis of the audiovisual sector.<\/p>\n<p>Perea combines his work as director and producer of the Animayo International Film Festival, which extends between Gran Canaria and other countries and cities around the world such as Los Angeles, Bombay, Barcelona or Lanzarote, with other film productions and with work as a member of the jury of numerous international festivals, advisor and consultant, programmer and speaker.<\/p>\n<p>In his early twenties, Perea made his first animated short film, which went down in history as the first stop-motion short film made in the Canary Islands, &quot;Podr\u00eda ser Peor&quot; (1999), for which he was nominated for a Goya Award. Two years later, he won the national competition organized by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Finance to create the Euro Campaign, with a claymation model of the &quot;Los Garc\u00eda&quot; family (2001), becoming the campaign&#039;s animation director.<\/p>\n<p>His international success continued with subsequent works such as &quot;Locos por el Cine&quot; (2003), which was selected for festivals like Sicaf in Korea and Bimini in Latvia, as well as in other countries such as Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Japan, and New York.
