The round was led by Samsung Venture Investment Corporation and the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT), with participation from existing investors, including Bullnet Capital, Caixa Capital Risk, Clave, the European Innovation Fund (EIC Fund), Intel Capital, MONDRAGON Corporation, and TEL Venture Capital, Inc.

“This investment allows us to push the boundaries of resolution quality within the semiconductor technology landscape,” says José Manuel Rodríguez Ramos, CEO of Wooptix. “The continued support of our investors, especially Bullnet, has enabled us to introduce our Fabtool semiconductor metrology tool to global markets and offer innovative solutions to an international customer base.”.

«Bullnet Capital is doing a spectacular job boosting the semiconductor business network in Spain, and it is an honor for us to be part of their portfolio and to feel accompanied and supported from and at all times,” he adds.

The growing demand for artificial intelligence has placed unprecedented pressure on the semiconductor manufacturing industry to produce increasingly complex and miniaturized chips. Traditional tools often fall short of the precision, automation, and efficiency needed to meet today's production demands. "Wooptix and its advanced semiconductor metrology technology are a testament to innovation within the information technology ecosystem," says a Samsung representative. "This investment reinforces our leadership in AI and enhanced connected experiences, which ultimately define the purpose of semiconductors," they conclude.

As a result of its research in adaptive optics for astronomy, Wooptix continues to demonstrate its market dominance with the recent launch of its flagship product, Phemet®, a laboratory semiconductor metrology tool (Fabtool). Phemet® offers industry-leading lateral resolution and near real-time processing capabilities, significantly reducing production times and increasing supply chain efficiency.

“Phemet®”s ability to collect more than 16 million data points with sub-nanometer resolution allows semiconductor manufacturers to reduce energy waste during production,“ explains Rodríguez Ramos, who is also a professor at the University of La Laguna. ”Already adopted by leading semiconductor manufacturers, Phemet® is on track for full automation and deployment in the coming months.”.

With an international presence in Europe, the United States, and Asia, and headquartered in Spain, Wooptix is positioned for global growth. The new funding will accelerate product development, expand international reach, and scale the company's team to meet the growing demand in the industry.

Wooptix, a spin-off company from the University of La Laguna and a leader in semiconductor metrology using imaging technology…

[6,37,374,10,39

post-1891","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-destacado","category-investigacion","category-oficina-de-transferencia-de-resultados-de-investigacion","category-portada-ull","category-servicios
["GET
