This meeting explored the functions and tasks of the Chair, focusing on Silbo Gomero as one of the most unique expressions of the traditional culture of the Canary Islands.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the importance of Silbo Gomero&#039;s recognition by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since September 2009 was highlighted, along with the interest in conducting research that will delve deeper into its role in contemporary Canarian life.
