University micro-credentials are short certifications, worth fewer than 15 ECTS credits, that guarantee the acquisition of specific skills through clear objectives and accredited assessment. Thanks to the Microcred Plan, promoted by the Ministry of Universities and with the collaboration of the Canary Islands Government's Ministry of Universities, Science and Innovation and Culture, the academic institution expects to issue a minimum of 2,250 accreditations this academic year. Furthermore, regulations will be established allowing undergraduate and master's degree courses to be offered as microcredentials open to the general public.<\/p>\n
