With a plethora of moving averages and trend-following rules at their disposal, the traders They are often overwhelmed by the sheer number of options. Furthermore, these stock market professionals are constantly devising new, "exotic" moving average designs, each supposedly offering improved responsiveness and smoothing compared to its predecessors.

While it is relatively easy to visually compare the responsiveness of two different moving averages, evaluating their smoothing and anticipation properties proves more challenging. Comparisons made through visual inspection are inherently subjective and prone to bias. For this reason, there is a pressing need for quantitative metrics that allow for the objective evaluation of moving average properties and associated trend-following strategies.

In this book, the authors propose a quantitative evaluation of the properties of trend-following strategies based on moving averages. They argue that there are three primary properties of trend-following strategies: responsiveness (responsiveness), softness ( ), softness ( ),smoothness) and precision (accuracy).

Given the widespread claim that each exotic moving average offers superior responsiveness and smoothing compared to previous versions, this book provides a means of verifying the accuracy of these assertions. It offers systematic and comprehensive coverage of various types of moving averages and trend-following strategies based on them, focusing on identifying the most crucial properties of trend-following strategies and proposing quantitative metrics for their evaluation.

Despite the abundance of books and academic publications focused on this topic, trend following based on moving averages remains, to a large extent, an art rather than a science. The Ultimate Moving Average Handbook It incorporates scientific rigor into this practice, providing valuable, objective, and distinctive insights. It is aimed at both traders and investment professionals who apply trend-following strategies in financial markets, as well as academics and students of statistics, economics, and finance.

La Facultad de Economía, Empresa y Turismo acogió el pasado martes 25 de noviembre en su biblioteca la presentación del…

[58,35,6,775,128,20,37,10,39
1961,1534,1962,1963,1964,1965
post-4293","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-biblioteca-universitaria","category-departamentos","category-destacado","category-economia-contabilidad-y-finanzas","category-facultad-de-economia-empresa-y-turismo-facultades-y-escuelas","category-facultades-y-escuelas","category-investigacion","category-portada-ull","category-servicios","tag-javier-giner","tag-libro","tag-medias-moviles","tag-mercados-financieros","tag-presentacion-de-libro","tag-valeriy-zakamulin

https://www.ull.es/portal/noticias/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/10/Presentacion-de-libro-17-300x200.jpg
["GET
