\"Cartel<\/a>Mario Marzo \u2013 actor, pianist and podcaster winner of the 2024 Ondas Award \u2013 and Nacho Castellanos \u2013 countertenor and popularizer \u2013 are the creators of the music education podcast The Vomiting Room<\/a> and they will be the masters of ceremonies for the new installment of Full steam ahead with the Symphony Orchestra<\/a>, The concert will take place next Thursday, February 26th at 8:00 PM in the Paraninfo of the University of La Laguna. The program consists of two symphonic poems by Richard Strauss (\u201cDon Juan\u201d and \u201cDeath and Transfiguration\u201d) under the baton of principal guest conductor Pablo Gonz\u00e1lez, and tickets are now on sale online, priced at 9 euros for the general public and free for students (who must also make a reservation to control capacity).<\/p>\n

"A fULL con la Sinf\u00f3nica" is a cultural project born from the collaboration between the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, the University of La Laguna, and the DISA Foundation, whose objective is to attract younger audiences to symphonic music. To this end, it offers one-hour concerts with top-level conductors and the added attraction of onstage hosts from the world of podcasting, comedy, or contemporary music, who will serve as a bridge between the young audience and the works being performed. The first concert was held this year in November, with rapper Sara Socas as the presenter.<\/p>\n

Program<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Tenerife Symphony Orchestra will perform two landmark works by Richard Strauss (1864-1949), one of the most audacious and visionary composers of symphonic music. In "Don Juan," the orchestra bursts forth with torrential energy and virtuosity, portraying the vital impulse and search for meaning of the legendary seducer. "Death and Transfiguration," in contrast, offers an intense meditation on the end of life and artistic redemption, with an expansive orchestra that breathes and soars to a climactic climax.<\/p>\n

Conductor Pablo Gonz\u00e1lez is known for his passion, insight, and theatrical sensibility in musical interpretation. He recently completed his tenure as Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra (RTVE) (2019\u20132023). During his time at RTVE, he also explored the repertoire of Berlioz, Mahler, and Szymanowski, the music of contemporary Spanish composers, and complete cycles of Beethoven, Schumann, and Brahms. Since September 2025, he has been Principal Guest Conductor of the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n

The Vomiting Room<\/strong><\/p>\n

El Vomitorio is an innovative podcast that promises to transform the relationship with classical music, art, and culture for the Spanish public. At the helm are countertenor Nacho Castellanos, whose passion for music makes him the perfect guide, and pianist Mario Marzo, recent winner of the 2024 Ondas Award. \u201cWe want classical music, art, and culture in general to be accessible to everyone, not just connoisseurs,\u201d says Castellanos. El Vomitorio has already reached thirty episodes and accumulates more than four million monthly listens on social media.
