Registration for the program is now open, and the first phase will take place between April and May, with further activities in September.

These experiences are conceived as learning spaces distinct from regular classes, where students can work on real-world problems related to areas such as sustainability, well-being, the local environment, and university life itself. The approach is based on a clear premise: it is not just about acquiring theoretical knowledge, but about understanding complex contexts, sharing perspectives, and generating proposals with the potential for transformation.

The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, the Canary Islands Agenda 2030 and the University Social Responsibility (USR) guidelines of the University of La Laguna, reinforcing the institutional commitment to critical, engaged training connected to current challenges.

Each of the five training activities is structured in two phases. The first session, taking place between the end of April and May, will allow students to approach each topic through a practical, participatory, and contextualized experience. The second session, scheduled for September, will continue the work begun, facilitating the development of more comprehensive proposals and their potential application to the 2026/2027 academic year.

The experiences cover diverse and complementary areas. The proposal of Sustainable Agricultural Production and Gastronomy It invites participants to analyze the food system from within, through activities that simulate its operation and a subsequent immersion in real-world experiences linked to the local area. The goal is to understand the existing tensions between sustainability, economic viability, logistics, and consumption habits, as well as to explore potential avenues for transformation from within the university setting.

For its part, the experience of Renaturalization and climate refuges The project aims to rethink campus spaces from a perspective of adapting to climate change and improving well-being. Through the analysis of specific environments, students will be able to identify problems related to thermal comfort, noise, and the use of spaces, and design intervention proposals that integrate sustainability and habitability criteria.

Following the same line of applied work, Campus Vivo It proposes using the university itself as an experimental laboratory. Based on a direct diagnosis within the university environment, students will work on designing interventions aimed at improving the institution's functioning and sustainability, connecting analysis and action in real-world contexts.

The initiative of Immersion in the territory It focuses on community development and the relationship between the university and its surroundings. Through direct experience in the San Matías neighborhood, students will gain firsthand knowledge of the social, economic, and urban dynamics, interact with local stakeholders, and reflect on the role the university can play in processes of social transformation.

Finally, the action of Student welfare It addresses mental health and the university experience from a participatory perspective. This proposal opens a space for dialogue in which students themselves can share experiences, analyze problems such as anxiety or academic pressure, and begin to build collective responses that contribute to improving well-being in the university environment.

In all cases, the activities are designed as open-ended experiences, requiring no prior knowledge, and with a clear focus on active student involvement. Furthermore, the possibility of continuing the work developed through academic projects, such as undergraduate or master's theses, is being considered for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The five experiences have limited places and are open to all students of the University of La Laguna. To facilitate access, registration must be done using the institutional account “alu”.

Interested individuals can consult the details of each of the actions —Sustainable Agricultural Production and Gastronomy, Renaturalization and Climate Refuges, Living Campus, Immersion in the Territory and Student Welfare— and formalize their registration through the forms enabled for each experience.

La Universidad de La Laguna ha puesto en marcha cinco experiencias formativas y participativas dirigidas a su estudiantado en el…

[31,101,6,10

post-5840","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-alumnado","category-campus-y-sostenibilidad","category-destacado","category-portada-ull

https://www.ull.es/portal/noticias/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/10/Experiencia-EDS-ULL-300x169.jpg
["GET
