The program Ingenia<\/a> It recently celebrated its fifth anniversary with a reunion of its promoting, facilitating, and mentoring teams. This initiative has supported and trained more than fifty projects, strengthening its own ecosystem within the social development sector and making a significant contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n

The event highlighted the project's trajectory and the impact it has had on the academic, professional, and social lives of all participating teams over the past five years. Among the participants in past editions were Nunca Solo, Paleoeduca, TalentiaLab, Proyecto Informa, Cuerpetea, Criptobosques, Acci\u00f3n Veritas, and Amigos de los Bichos. Their members shared the current status and future plans of each initiative with the teams promoting this year's edition.<\/p>\n

This initiative is a program developed and implemented by the Vice-Rectorate for Students at the University of La Laguna, with support from the General Foundation. It is also funded by the Island Council of Tenerife, specifically by the Island Department of Education, Youth, Museums, Culture, and Sports.<\/p>\n

Seraf\u00edn Mesa, CEO of Youth and Training for the island council, expressed his support for the program and the teams promoting all its editions. Mesa stated that the institution's doors are open to any of the participating projects, so they can obtain external funding, "and so we can generate synergies with other administrations and launch them into society, which is ultimately where they will develop.".<\/p>\n

For her part, Candela D\u00edaz, Vice-Rector for Sustainability and Infrastructure at the University of La Laguna, emphasized the importance of the social impact of the projects. She also explained the need to create a sustainable and equitable future for everyone and described Ingenia as an \u201cemblem of innovation and commitment to promoting environmental awareness and social responsibility.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Julio Brito, manager of the University Foundation, emphasized the commitment demonstrated by the program and its participants in knowledge transfer, as well as the social commitment and unique talent of each project. Finally, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Garc\u00eda, Vice-Rector for Teaching at the University of La Laguna, highlighted the role of the academic institution as a link between the knowledge it produces and the impact it generates within the context of Canarian society.<\/p>\n
