A group of students from the Faculty of Fine Arts<\/a> of the University of La Laguna has successfully completed the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Local Markets<\/a>, held within the framework of the STARS EU alliance, of which the ULL is a member together with eight other European universities. Organized by the Polytechnic University of Bragan\u00e7a (IPB), the course brought together 33 students and 9 teachers from Portugal, Romania, Spain, Croatia, Serbia, Czech Republic, Poland, Moldova and Brazil.<\/p>\n

This intensive cross-border program, which involved students from three STARS EU universities \u2500 Polytechnic University of Bragan\u00e7a (IPB), Silesina University in Opava and University of La Laguna\u2500 intertwined local culture with art and international cooperation. All this through the promotion of innovative teaching-learning methods, supported by research and challenge solving.<\/p>\n

Throughout two months of training, participants worked in a multidisciplinary way in the multimedia field, developing projects in photography, design, audiovisual media, architecture and illustration, as well as other forms of artistic expression. A learning laboratory that promotes the connection between the university and the territory, in addition to fostering international cooperation, applied creativity and commitment to local culture.<\/p>\n

The final presentations by the students, which were held a few days ago in Mirandela and Bragan\u00e7a, put the finishing touch to a holistic training program that served as a starting point for the creation of different projects. All these activities are closely linked to local markets and their cultural origins, a way of guaranteeing their value and authenticity.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Student participation<\/strong><\/p>\n

This BIP is part of the STARS EU academic program and has a teaching load of 6 credits (60 hours of teaching). Coordinated by professors Carlos Jim\u00e9nez Mart\u00ednez and Noem\u00ed Pe\u00f1a S\u00e1nchez, it counted with the participation of five students from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of La Laguna: Esther Gonz\u00e1lez Perera, Adriana Fagundo Jim\u00e9nez, Miriam Gonz\u00e1lez \u00c1lvarez, Alicia Eva Morales Pereyra Garc\u00eda and Mar\u00eda Teresa V\u00e1zquez Brito, who traveled to Portugal to participate in the classroom training given at the IPB of Bragan\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

In addition to the academic activities, during the week of on-site training they visited places of interest such as the Galeria do Mercado, Gra\u00e7a Morais Mountain Arts Lab, ACIMirandela, Georges Dussaud Photography Center, C\u00f4a Museum, Confraria da Alheira de Mirandela, Padaria Seramota, Caf\u00e9 Rodrigues, Cooperativa de Miel e Frutos Secos de Terra Quente, and Mirandela City Hall.<\/p>\n

BIP Local Markets was coordinated by professors Ana L\u00facia Pinto and Carlos Casimiro Costa, from the Multimedia Department of the Polytechnic University of Bragan\u00e7a. The program was implemented in partnership with several academic institutions: \u0218tefan cel Mare University (Suceava, Romania); Polytechnic University of Timi\u0219oara (Romania); University of La Laguna (Spain); University of Silesia in Opava (Czech Republic); University of Osijek (Croatia); University of the National Education Commission (Poland), and the Federal Institute of Science and Technology of Maranh\u00e3o (Brazil).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
