Abstract

Almost twenty years after editing the glosses on the Fábula de Polifemo y Galatea, the work that introduced him to the relevant discussion about Góngora’s lyrical poetry, Salcedo Coronel published the second part of the Obras de don Luis de Góngora comentadas, a final volume whose last pages included the Panegírico al duque de Lerma. This annotated edition helps to identify a model based on relevant works ascribed to the genre. Through this model, the Sevillian author improved and added certain determining characteristics to his first printed version.
