Latente journal participates in the safeguarding and archiving procedures for scientific output at the University of La Laguna, thereby ensuring the permanent preservation of information.

This policy includes the following measures:

• Daily backups, including integrity checks.
• Storage in a permanent archive resource, in the Institutional Repository of the Universidad de La Laguna (RIULL)
• Use of Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) served by Crossref
• Inclusion of digital preservation metadata

The RIULL fulfills the functions of publication, as well as those of digital archiving, with a view to preserving the assets generated. The system, which is based on the DSpace tool, uses open standards for interoperability, thus ensuring maximum dissemination of the journal's scientific content while maintaining its integrity, authenticity, reliability, readability, and functionality.

This policy is reviewed periodically by the Publications Service of the Universidad de La Laguna.
