Consult in the waiting room

All libraries have reading and study rooms that are generally open from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Changes to opening hours during holidays or other periods are announced in due course.

Access to these rooms during exam periods is preferentially reserved for ULL students.

Access to most of the collection is free; books may be removed from the shelves and taken to reading stations. Once finished, the books must be returned to their designated places and must not be placed back on the shelves.

Works not in open access must be requested from library staff. As a general rule, no more than three works or five volumes may be consulted at a time. Users may not leave the reading room without returning the borrowed volume(s). Books consulted must be returned half an hour before the library closes, and no new requests will be fulfilled.

There is a web application that provides real-time information on the occupancy status of study rooms, libraries, and other university spaces. This application can be accessed at the following address: https://www.ull.es/apps/ocupacion/, It organizes the information following a color code based on a traffic light: the green level indicates that the occupancy has not exceeded 50% of the capacity; yellow, that the occupancy is between 50% and 75%; and, finally, red warns that 75% has been exceeded.

Furthermore, after clicking on the button associated with each of these spaces, you can obtain a historical record of room occupancy, not only throughout the hours of the day, but also on the day of the week you wish to examine, which can facilitate decision-making regarding the most appropriate time to enjoy this service throughout the week.
