personal data is protected within the University of La Laguna (ULL) as one of the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals. This role was created by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which has been mandatory for all public administrations and certain companies since May 25, 2018. If the matter relates to a management unit, it is recommended that the message be sent by the head of that unit or, if necessary, by the person performing the corresponding technical functions, after informing the relevant organizational or functional manager. If the matter concerns a research group or project, it is recommended that the communication be directed to the principal investigator or their designated representative.<\/li><li>Supporting regulatory compliance: The Data Protection Officer provides support to guarantee the fundamental right to data protection and ensure compliance with regulations at the University of La Laguna.
