This will improve the soil&#039;s physicochemical and biological properties and facilitate its regeneration. To this end, the organic waste available in each area will be defined and analyzed, the resulting processed products will be characterized, and their effect on soil properties\u2014primarily water retention and carbon sequestration\u2014will be assessed. Their capacity for regenerating previously identified degraded and contaminated soils will also be evaluated. Innovative techniques for utilizing local plant waste to promote reforestation will also be developed.
