El proyecto Arquetipos femeninos en los tratados medievales franceses para la educaci\u00f3n de las mujeres: Origen, evoluci\u00f3n, funci\u00f3n y l\u00e9xico se integra en el Instituto Universitario de Estudios Medievales y Renacentistas de La Universidad de La Laguna (IEMyR) del que forman parte sus seis investigadoras. Tiene por objeto el estudio de aquellos paradigmas de comportamiento femenino que se repiten en distintas obras medievales, escritas en franc\u00e9s y destinadas a la instrucci\u00f3n de las mujeres, con el fin de servirles de modelos de conducta. Este an\u00e1lisis individual y contrastivo de los mismos se fundamentar\u00e1 en los tres grandes ejes tem\u00e1ticos, restrictivos para la mujer, que est\u00e1n en la base de la tradici\u00f3n mis\u00f3gina el cuerpo, los espacios femeninos y el lenguaje de las mujeres- y que conforman el armaz\u00f3n sobre el que se distribuyen, de manera transversal, los diversos comentarios textuales. Estos arquetipos forman parten igualmente de una tradici\u00f3n anterior por lo que nos interesa tambi\u00e9n establecer los or\u00edgenes, la evoluci\u00f3n y la funci\u00f3n que se les atribuye, atendiendo a las fuentes latinas de las que beben los tratados medievales franceses. El rastreo de los or\u00edgenes y la evoluci\u00f3n de estos modelos en los textos escritos en lat\u00edn nos permitir\u00e1n, asimismo, apreciar y estudiar el l\u00e9xico empleado para la conceptualizaci\u00f3n de los distintos estereotipos femeninos en el corpus de textos, no solo desde un punto de vista diacr\u00f3nico, sino tambi\u00e9n contrastivo lat\u00edn-franc\u00e9s. Consideramos que los resultados que se obtengan de este proyecto ofrecer\u00e1n tanto a los medievalistas como a los investigadores que centran sus estudios en la historia de la mujer, un an\u00e1lisis riguroso de las figuras femeninas que configuran los esquemas ideales de mujer, su funci\u00f3n en la sociedad medieval, sus or\u00edgenes y su continua evoluci\u00f3n, elementos imprescindibles para la historia de la educaci\u00f3n como pieza clave en la historia de la cultura intelectual occidental.

The project Feminine Archetypes in French Medieval Treatises for Womens Education: Origin, Evolution, Function and Vocabulary is sponsored by the Instituto Universitario de Estudios Medievales y Renacentistas de La Universidad de La Laguna (IEMyR) (Universtiy Institute for Medieval and Renaissance Studies at Universidad de La Laguna), to which its six members belong. Its aim is to analyse those paradigms of feminine behaviour that appear recurrently in diverse medieval works, written in French and intented for womens instruction, with the purpose of serving as models of conduct. The individual and contrastive examination of the above-mentioned paradigms will focus on three big thematic axes, i.e, the body, femine spaces and womens language, all of them restrictive and essentially misogynistic. In turn, these axes will inform the structure which will be transversally applied to the textual commentaries. Morever, since these archetypes derive from a previous tradition, we will also look at the origins, the evolution and the function ascribed to them, paying special attention to the Latin sources on which the Medieval French treatises draw. The exploration of the origins and evolution of these models in the texts written in Latin will allow us to research the vocabulary used in the conceptualization of the different feminine stereotypes, both from a diacronic and a Latin-French perspective. The results obtained in this project will be useful for scholars of Medieval Studies and also for those of womens history, since they will offer a thorough analysis of the feminine figures which configure the ideal notions about women, their function in medieval society, their origins and their constant evolution, all of them crucial elements in the history of education understood as a relevant part Western culture.<\/p>\n
