Este objetivo permite promover el desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico, la innovaci\u00f3n y una investigaci\u00f3n de calidad, tal y como se especifica en el objetivo tem\u00e1tico del programa operativo de la convocatoria del proyecto.<\/p>\n<p>UDIGEN desarrollar\u00e1 sus actividades a partir de la experiencia adquirida en torno a tres subestudios:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Un estudio de validaci\u00f3n ortogonal.<\/li>\n<li>Un estudio poblacional en muestras de referencia.<\/li>\n<li>Un estudio de pacientes con evidencia de enfermedad de causa gen\u00e9tica.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Como resultado de la experiencia, se espera introducir el uso rutinario de la secuenciaci\u00f3n de exomas como prueba de primera l\u00ednea para apoyar el diagn\u00f3stico de trastornos de base gen\u00e9tica y la consiguiente reducci\u00f3n de los tiempos y costes hasta la obtenci\u00f3n de un diagn\u00f3stico definitivo. Adem\u00e1s, se desarrollar\u00e1n herramientas bioinform\u00e1ticas de gesti\u00f3n, consulta e interpretaci\u00f3n de la variaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica, y su conexi\u00f3n con las enfermedades mediante procedimientos de an\u00e1lisis eficiente de Big Data.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=\u00bbAbstract\u00bb tab_id=\u00bbabstract\u00bb][vc_column_text]The main purpose of the UDIGEN project is the development of an integrated genomic analysis platform, comprising the steps from sequencing to interpretation stages, to facilitate genetic counseling in order to reduce the time between the suspicion of a genetic disease and the definitive diagnosis. This objective allows the promotion of technological development, innovation and quality research.<\/p>\n<p>The activities developed in UDIGEN will be based on the experience across three substudies:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>A retrospective orthogonal validation study.<\/li>\n<li>A population study in the reference samples.<\/li>\n<li>Astudy of patients with evidence of genetic disease.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>As a result of the experience, it is expected that the routine use of exome sequencing will be introduced as a first-line test to sustain the diagnosis of genetic-based disorders and the consequent reduction of time and costs until obtaining a conclusive diagnosis.
