The Secretariat is the legal and administrative support unit of the Social Council, a university body that, within the framework established by state and regional legislation, carries out the planning, programming, and promotion of the efficiency of the services provided by the University of La Laguna, as well as the supervision of the economic activity and performance of these services, their management, and their interaction with social, economic, and productive stakeholders. Furthermore, the person holding the position of Secretary of the Social Council, a post reserved for a tenured civil servant, also serves as Secretary of the University of La Laguna's Retention Committee.
