Breve currículo profesional genérico:
More than 20 years of RTD project management experience, with proven track records in preparation, submission, management, coordination and monitoring of projects in the field of research and technology, technology transfer, and large-scale infrastructures, especially projects funded by EC Framework Programmes. Appointed as Spanish National Contact Point under EC FP5 and FP6 for Marie Curie Actions and Research Infrastructures Programmes. Wide experience in management and coordination of international projects and large consortia at Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC); a leading centre for astrophysics located at the Canary Islands, where more than 60 research institutions from around twenty countries have installed their telescopes and observational facilities. Member and Chairman of different commissions on RTD policies, public funding, evaluation committees and working groups. “Best-practices National Award” from the Spanish General Administration in 2002.
Astrophysicist, currently being Manager of Institutional Projects and Technology Transfer at the IAC. Advisor on RTD activities and competitive funding for public and private entities, and teaching project management in Physics science’ degree at University of La Laguna. Lecturer in training courses and seminars on project management for other entities. Wide experience on public outreach, conducting a radio programme on science and technology during six years, TV documentaries, science exhibitions, educational material, etc.

•Head of the Executive Office at the European Northern Observatory Network. 2002 – 2004.
•Expert collaborator and Coordinator for the Research Infrastructures’ working group for the SISE report (Integral system for the monitoring and evaluation of the RTD National Plan), promoted by the Spanish General Administration.

•Member of the Local Organising Committee for several workshops and conferences.
•Author and co-author of comprehensive reports on socio-economic impact assessment related to large-scale infrastructures: The E-ELT (2009) and the European Solar Telescope (2001).
