European Documentation Centre

This Centre was established in 1981 through an agreement between the University of La Laguna and the European Commission, and is affiliated with the University through its Chair of Public and Private International Law at the Faculty of Law. Under this agreement, the European Documentation Centre is the depository for the Official Publications of the European Union, sent free of charge by the European Commission, and has free access to EU databases. In return, the University of La Laguna undertakes to preserve, catalogue, and index this documentation in order to make it accessible to the entire university community and the general public. Currently, it is part of: the European Networks: European Documentation Centres and Europe Direct; and the Spanish Network of European Documentation Centres in Spain. The European Documentation Centre is a public resource. Anyone from the university community or outside of it can consult its documentary and bibliographic holdings and access external resources. The objective of the European Documentation Centres is to meet the needs of students, researchers, and citizens by making information about the European Union and its policies accessible.
