Since no claims have been received regarding the provisional census, the censuses published on the Center's website are declared as definitive and are displayed according to the electoral calendar.

In the Faculty Board, the 30% corresponds to the Students with a total of 57 representatives who will be distributed equally among the different Sections of the Faculty, in accordance with art. 15.5 of the Internal Regulations of the Faculty of Sciences.

The deadline for submitting applications is from the day November 4-8.

The application may be submitted using one of these three methods:

  1. At the Faculty of Sciences Secretariat, from 10:00 to 13:00 hours.
  2. Through electronic means (Electronic Headquarters, through the Procedure: ”Elections for the renewal of representatives to the Faculty Board REIROC006” and attaching a pdf with the completed candidacy application).
  3. Send the completed and signed application to the email address  dviceval@ull.edu.es – Deadline 04/11 to 08/11.

Candidates Student body.

Considering that the number of candidates in the Student sector does not exceed the number of vacancies per Section, it is resolved that the Student candidates listed in the attached annex are provisionally proclaimed as elected members of the Faculty Board of Sciences. A period of two working days, starting from today's date, is granted for any appeals against this decision, and its publication is ordered for November 11th.

Since no claims have been filed against the provisional proclamation of candidates, the list published as provisional candidates becomes final.

Since the number of submitted candidacies did not exceed the number of vacancies in the different Sections, no vote will be held and said candidacies are provisionally proclaimed as representatives on the Faculty Board.

AGREEMENT OF THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

Dean Elections 2023

Call for elections for Dean from the Faculty of Sciences 2023.

The dean will be elected according to article 50 of the Internal Regulations of the Faculty of Sciences, and in accordance with the Statutes and the General Electoral Regulations of the ULL, by the Plenary of the Faculty Board.

Calendar for the Election of Dean from the Faculty of Sciences 2023.

Provisional census for the 2023 elections for Dean of the Faculty of Sciences.

Since no claim has been filed regarding the provisional census for the election of the dean of the Faculty of Sciences, it becomes definitive.

Teaching and research staff with permanent ties to the University of La Laguna and who are attached to the Faculty of Sciences may submit their candidacy to occupy the Deanship.

The presentation of candidacies will be made within the period indicated in the electoral calendar (between May 22 and 26), by means of a letter addressed to the Electoral Commission of the Faculty, in which the name, surnames, ID number and signature of the candidate must be expressed.

Having reviewed the application for candidacy submitted by Ms. Mª del Mar Afonso Rodríguez, and considering that she complies with article 179.2 of the Statutes of the University of La Laguna, which establishes that the deans of Faculty will be elected by their respective center boards from among doctoral professors belonging to the university teaching bodies attached to the respective center according to their Internal Regulations.

This Commission resolves that she is proclaimed as the Provisional candidate for Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, giving the period from May 31 to June 1 for any claim to the act.

Since no appeals have been filed against the candidacy presented by Ms. Mª del Mar Afonso Rodríguez, this candidacy is proclaimed as definitive and the Electoral Campaign begins, in accordance with the electoral calendar.

To elect the dean, a candidate must obtain an absolute majority of the members of the Faculty Board in the first round of voting. If this majority is not obtained, a second round of voting will be held the following day. In this second round, the candidate will be elected if they obtain a simple majority, provided their votes exceed one-third of the Board members.

The vote will take place on June 21st during a Faculty Board meeting, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Prior to the election, the candidate will have the opportunity to present her leadership team, as well as a program of action and governance.

Those members of the teaching staff whose teaching exceeds 25% in several Sections, will be part of the Census of the Section in which they carry out the highest percentage of their teaching, unless the interested party requests otherwise in a timely manner.

In the listings, the colors black and blue indicate more than 25% of teaching in that section, while other colors indicate less than 25% of teaching in that section.

Having met in the Elections to fill the positions of representatives on the Board of Center, and no claim having been presented to the provisional Census, the Censuses are proclaimed as Definitive.

The Electoral Commission, having met to elect representatives to the Center Board, proceeded to analyze the applications received, taking into account the corresponding sector and section.

Having reviewed the application for candidacy submitted by Mr. Ignacio García Marco, as a representative of non-permanent faculty members in the Mathematics Section, this is dismissed for having submitted it after the deadline.

Having reviewed the application for candidacy submitted by Ms. Irene Márquez Corbella, as a representative of PDI with non-permanent ties in the Physics Section, this is dismissed for having submitted it after the deadline.

Having reviewed the application for candidacy submitted by Mr. Luis Fabián Lorenzo Díaz as a representative of permanent teaching and research staff in the Biology Section, and although their teaching percentage is less than 25%, taking into account section 1.b.3 of article 15 of the internal regulations, given the existence of vacant positions, is considered.

Having reviewed the application for candidacy submitted by Mr. Francisco Javier del Castillo Vargas as a representative of the teaching and research staff with permanent ties in the Physics Section, and although their teaching percentage is less than 25%, taking into account basis 1.b.3 of article 15 of the internal regulations due to the existence of vacant positions, is considered.

Having reviewed the application for candidacy submitted by Mr. Mario Andrés González Carracedo As a representative of PDI with non-permanent ties in the Biology Section, this is dismissed according to section 1.b.2 of article 15 of the internal regulations, as he did not reach 25% of his teaching in said Section.

Having reviewed the application for candidacy submitted by Mr. Ignacio Ruigómez Sempere, as a representative of PDI with non-permanent ties in the Chemistry Section, this is dismissed according to section 1.b.2 of article 15 of the internal regulations, as he did not reach 25% of his teaching in said Section.

Having reviewed the application for candidacy submitted by Mr. Eduardo Manuel Segredo González, as a representative of non-permanent faculty members in the Mathematics Section, this is dismissed according to section 1.b.2 of article 15 of the internal regulations, as he did not reach 25% of his teaching in said Section.

Considering that the number of candidates in the Student and Administrative and Service Staff sectors does not exceed the number of vacancies per sector and Section, and in accordance with Article 15.3 of the Internal Regulations of the Faculty of Sciences, these vacant positions are transferred to the sector of teaching and research staff hired on a non-permanent basis. All applications from non-permanent teaching and research staff who carry out at least 25% of their teaching activity are accepted. in their corresponding sections, leaving vacancies to be filled in those candidacies.

Regarding the Permanent Teaching Staff Sector of the Biology, Physics and Mathematics Sections, the number of candidates does not exceed the number of vacancies.

In the case of permanent faculty in the Chemistry Section, since there are more candidates than positions on the Center Board, the election will be held by vote on December 1st.

The Electoral Commission resolves that the candidates listed in the attached annexes, representing non-tenured faculty, tenured faculty of the Biology, Physics, and Mathematics departments, students, and administrative and service staff, are provisionally proclaimed as elected members of the Faculty Board of Sciences. A period of two business days, starting from today's date, is granted for any appeals against this decision, which will be published on November 22nd.

The Electoral Commission, meeting for the elections to fill the positions of representatives on the Board of Directors, received a complaint regarding the candidacy submitted by Ms. Carmen María Rodríguez Pérez as a representative of permanent teaching and research staff in the Biology Section, and although their teaching percentage is less than 25%, taking into account section 1.b.3 of article 15 of the internal regulations, given the existence of vacant positions, is considered.

Since no further claims have been received regarding the provisional proclamation, the Commission establishes as definitive the lists previously published as provisional candidacies.
