Guidance and tutoring

Philosophy Section

The Guidance and Tutorial Action Plan (POAT) of the Philosophy Section of the Faculty of Humanities at the ULL consists of two parts: training and guidance activities and career tutoring.

Study Tutoring:
Study tutoring will be provided by the various POAT tutors to advise and monitor students' academic progress. This type of tutoring is available to students from the beginning of their studies until they complete them. It is conducted on an individual basis.

Activities: These are diverse activities in various formats designed to address different educational topics, as well as to inform and guide students regarding their training and career opportunities, scholarships, postgraduate studies, internships, mobility programs; the resources and tools offered by the Department, the Center, and the University; opportunities for student participation in governing bodies and other activities; the administrative procedures they must complete, etc. These activities are aimed at students from the beginning of their studies until they graduate. They are conducted in large groups.

To comply with the above, the Section prepares a POAT (Annual Training Plan) for each academic year. The plan includes the following sections:

  1. The details of the tutor teachers who will be in charge of the new students and the dates of the first contacts.
  2. Orientation Activities
  1. Welcome: Open House Days, Welcome Days, etc.
  2. Follow-up: dates and those responsible for the information sessions about mobility programs, external internships, final degree projects, etc.
  3. Activities: dates and those responsible for the activities that take place.
