Presentation

The CORDICan project (Documentary Corpus of the Canary Islands) aims to digitally edit Canarian documentation from the 16th to the 19th centuries. It is an interdisciplinary project developed by Humanities researchers (historians and philologists) that aims to publicize a relatively large number of texts generated on or about the islands.

The creation and dissemination of this modular diatopic corpus, unique in the insular panorama, facilitates the consultation and dissemination of a relatively important volume of unpublished documentary heritage, as established by the Law of Cultural Heritage of the Canary Islands (BOC of May 13, 2019).
