Description:
Google Calendar
Google Calendar is a Google tool for organizing and managing time, serving as a calendar, diary, or planner. You can create different events, add tasks, set up an appointment schedule, or report that a specific time slot is set for focus time, time to report outside of your workspace, or report your work location. Google Calendar allows you to create events by sharing with other email accounts, add video calls to Google Meet, and change the view to day, week, month, year, agenda, or four days. In the university setting, the "appointment schedule" feature is especially useful for generating a booking webpage where students can sign up for tutoring appointments. Additionally, there is a "daily schedule" configuration available to receive an email each morning at the set time with a list of the topics scheduled for that day. Google Calendar is available in extended versions through institutional passwords, with the option to create an unlimited number of booking pages, check the email addresses of those making the reservations, send email reminders, or check availability on multiple calendars.

Example:
A professor uses Google Calendar to schedule meetings and events to coordinate with other professors in her department. She adds an event, shares emails with others, and adds a video call session to meet online that day. A professor wants to set up an appointment calendar to organize the tutoring sessions she conducts online. Using Calendar in the browser, she establishes an "appointment calendar" session in the assigned tutoring time so that students can sign up and specify the purpose of their personalized online tutoring.
