Google Colab

Category: Information management and analysis.

Description:
Google Colab is a tool for creating notebooks with executable code in Python. This tool allows you to work with data and leverage Python-defined libraries without having expert knowledge of Python programming or execution. This tool requires no configuration or GPU access, which costs nothing extra. Google Colab allows you to share and work on shared data notebooks with other users, similar to the sharing capabilities of other Google tools.

Example
An engineering professor suggests using Google Colab to introduce his students to programming. For the proposed activity, he informs the students that they can use software such as Codeium or Notepad++.

A professor uses a Python library built into Google Colab with her students to conduct exploratory data analysis. From there, the students must improve their data tables, process them, and perform the relevant analyses in the subsequent phases of the research project.
