Description: Microsoft Word is an office automation tool and word processor from Microsoft. This application is included among the tools in the Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft 365. Documents created in this software can be created from different applications, can be shared and edited simultaneously, and can be created through the immersive reader in the visual and audio assistance tool. Microsoft Word's free version is available for single-person use, for real-time sharing and collaboration, access to the web tool, basic spelling and grammar checking, templates, fonts, icons and basic stickers, dictation and voice commands, and 5GB of cloud storage. The latest downloaded version also allows you to add a voice file and transcribe it to text, relevant for qualitative data analysis. Microsoft Word includes various useful integrations and connectors, such as Zotero for citing bibliographic references or Foxit Reader PDF for reading PDF files.
Example: A teacher uses Microsoft Word to generate documents for his students. He creates a template with the structure he would like for the student reports. When he has finished this report, he uploads it to the virtual classroom using the "file" feature.
