This micro-credential equips students to manage their own occupational health and safety and that of their colleagues, promoting self-care and professional excellence. The program covers ergonomic techniques to prevent musculoskeletal disorders, as well as risk identification and emergency response.
The aim of this micro-credential is to empower students to manage their own occupational health and safety, as well as that of their colleagues. This objective aligns with professional excellence and self-care. The program focuses on developing students' proficiency in ergonomic techniques to prevent musculoskeletal disorders and their ability to identify workplace hazards and respond to emergencies.
I. Basic concepts on safety and health
Work and health: occupational risks.
Work-related injuries: accidents and occupational diseases.
Basic rights and duties in prevention.
II. Hygiene requirements for facilities and equipment. Personal health and hygiene.
Conditions that rooms, public areas and common areas must meet for
to guarantee safety.
Hygiene requirements for carts, tools, machinery and products used in cleaning.
Hygiene practices necessary to avoid biological risks.
Self-assessment of habits and prevention of contagion.
III. Specific risks of the floors department
Falls on the same level due to wet floors, cleaning materials or displaced furniture.
Use of chemical products: labels, pictograms, prohibited mixtures, ventilation.
Bumps/collisions with furniture and equipment.
Electrical risks in the use of vacuum cleaners and auxiliary equipment.
IV. Preventive and protective measures
Safe cleaning procedures.
Organization of the workspace to minimize risks.
Temporary signage in transit areas.
