This microcredential addresses the regulatory framework for the decarbonization of maritime transport at the international, European, and national levels, analyzing its technical, economic, and environmental implications. It also introduces the fundamentals of key decarbonization strategies, such as alternative fuels and electrification. The program delves into electric and hybrid propulsion technologies, as well as onboard energy efficiency solutions using advanced control systems. Finally, it examines the feasibility of port electrification using Operational Power Systems (OPS), with a particular focus on island contexts.
A university degree is not required to obtain this micro-credential. However, students wishing to obtain it must meet one of the following access requirements.
