Design and planning of quality teaching

Design and planning of quality teaching

Overview

This micro-credential enables participants to understand the foundations of quality teaching in Higher Education and differentiate between traditional approaches and student-centered learning models. It analyzes pedagogical models such as active learning, project-based learning, flipped classrooms, and collaborative learning, evaluating their application in university teaching. Furthermore, it equips participants to design internally coherent course planning, integrate transversal skills, and use course syllabi as a link between the verification report and course programming.

Goals

  • Understanding the fundamentals of quality teaching in Higher Education and the differences between traditional teaching and learning-centered teaching.
  • Analyze pedagogical models and didactic approaches (active learning, project-based learning, flipped classroom, collaborative learning) and assess their application in university teaching.
  • Design the teaching plan for a subject: learning objectives or outcomes, content, strategies, activities and evaluation, with internal coherence.
  • Integrate transversal skills (critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, etc.) into planning.
  • Use the Teaching Guides as a link between the verification memory and the teaching program of the subjects.

Access requirements

To access the microcredential, you will need to:

  4. Being a teaching and research staff member of the University of La Laguna.
