AI for the development of academic activities

AI for the development of academic activities

Overview

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a set of technologies based on algorithms and machine learning that allow machines to analyze data, make decisions, and generate responses, with key applications in personal learning by facilitating customization, immediate feedback, and access to educational resources. Understanding and using different AI tools in education—such as content generators, intelligent tutors, and assessment systems—is fundamental to improving teaching and learning processes. However, it is also necessary to consider their technical limitations, such as biases and data dependencies, and to critically reflect on their ethical implications, especially regarding privacy, equity, and the holistic development of individuals.

Goals

  • Understanding what Artificial Intelligence is, how it works, how it can be applied to personal learning, and what its technical limitations are.
  • To know and learn to use various Artificial Intelligence tools applied to the educational field, taking into account their different classifications and typologies.
  • To critically reflect on the ethical aspects of Artificial Intelligence, as well as its potential and limitations in relation to the integral development of people and learning processes.
