Support and guidance

Each academic year, ULL centres implement Guidance and Tutorial Action Plans (POAT) to be developed in their degrees to provide students with support and guidance systems once they have enrolled.

The training activities included in the POAT address various topics through which it is intended to facilitate the students' academic-professional decision-making at their different stages (reception and integration into the centre and the university, guidance throughout the degree and for their incorporation into the labour market), which will allow them to successfully complete the degree and adapt to new demands: autonomous learning strategies, teamwork, improving academic performance results, resolving difficulties, information and advice on external internships and final degree projects, guidance on existing mobility programmes, demands and characteristics of the labour market, etc.

Specific objectives

Are specific objectives of the POAT in the Technical Architecture Section:

– Mejorar la adaptación del alumnado en la Universidad y en el Centro, fomentando su integración en la vida universitaria y en los órganos de participación y gestión.

- Provide guidance to students regarding the Center's resources and facilities, facilitating the channels and rules that guarantee their availability and proper use.

– Ofrecer formación y apoyo al alumnado para la adquisición de estrategias que contribuyan a mejorar el acceso, manejo de la información y aprendizaje autónomo.

– Promover las habilidades el estudiantado para la adecuada planificación y aprovechamiento de su dedicación al estudio.

– Contribuir a que el alumnado adquieran habilidades, destrezas y capacidades para la toma de decisiones académicas y profesionales.

– Orientar al alumnado sobre las opciones de inserción laboral y formación continua.

To achieve these objectives the following will be developed: actions:

– Tutorías de carrera: puede definirse como la tarea que realiza un/a profesor/a que se preocupa por la formación integral de un pequeño grupo de estudiantes a los largo de los estudios. La finalidad es contribuir al desarrollo integral del alumnado, haciendo un seguimiento y optimización del proceso formativo de forma continua y promoviendo el aprendizaje autónomo, la investigación el el desempeño profesional.

– Actividades de orientación: en estas actividades se atienden las necesidades del alumnado relacionadas con la información ( guía informativa, consulta sobre convalidaciones, cursos, ayudas) y la formación complementaria (cursos, talleres para el alumnado). Buscan garantizar la conexión del alumnado del centro con todos los servicios del la ULL que de un modo u otro cubren facetas orientadoras.
