Documentation of title evaluation
Official Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degrees are subject to an assessment model divided into three phases that make up their life cycle (VSMA cycle): ex ante (Verification), during (Monitoring and Modification) and ex post (renewal of Accreditation). This assessment, review and improvement process is carried out with the aim of guaranteeing the quality of the degrees and ensuring that they comply with the requirements and criteria established within the framework of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
The model is included in the Organic Law 2/2023, of the University System (LOSU) and in the Royal Decrees of regulation of university education: fundamentally the RD 822/2021, which establishes the organization of university education and the procedure for ensuring its quality; RD 99/2011, which regulates official doctoral studies and the RD 640/2021, for the creation, recognition and authorization of universities and university centers, and institutional accreditation of university centers.
The official documentation of the degree evaluation processes that certify compliance with quality standards can be consulted in the following sections.

In line with the guidelines established at national level (RD 822/2021), the Canary Islands Agency for University Quality and Educational Evaluation (ACCUEE) establishes the Monitoring Protocol that the Official Degrees of the Canary Islands Autonomous Community must follow. This monitoring focuses, on the one hand, on checking compliance with the project established in the current Verification Report in a first follow-up carried out after verification (OTV). On the other hand, on verifying the development of the improvement plan prepared after an external evaluation process, called monitoring after accreditation (OTR).

Within the Accreditation Renewal process, and once the internal evaluation phase has been completed, the last Self-Assessment Report (IA) is published:
During the process a suggestion box to gather the opinions of the university community involved in the degree regarding the content of the Self-Assessment Report, as well as on the development and improvement of the degree.
As a result, the Accreditation Renewal is obtained under FAVORABLE terms.
