Teaching coordination will be carried out on a semester basis. At the request of the Quality Coordinator, the semester coordinator is nominated from among the faculty members teaching in that semester of the given academic year, and their appointment is approved by the Dean at the Faculty Board meeting. The semester coordinator is responsible for coordinating the various training activities in the courses being taught.

Its functions include:

• Conduct a series of coordination meetings with the teachers who teach in their semester, at least three (or more if circumstances require it)
• Schedule and disseminate among the teachers of the subjects the planning of the evaluation tests such as the classroom controls during the teaching time of class (making sure that there is no overlap on the same day) for an adequate distribution.
• To convene a meeting to review the academic year and verify compliance with the syllabus of the subjects taught and, if necessary, propose modifications to it (change of order of topics, etc.) to be taken into account in the next course.
• Make minutes (schematic and summarized) of each meeting (agenda, list of attending professors, topics discussed, etc.)

Subject Coordinator

The Coordinator of a subject must be one of the professors with assigned teaching duties in this subject according to the Teaching Organization Plan and his/her appointment is approved by the Department Council of the Departments involved in the subject.
The Subject Coordinator is responsible for both the teaching and organizational aspects of the subject in all theory or practice groups in which the subject is taught and is responsible for communicating to the Semester Coordinator any aspect related to the organization of the subject.
The subject coordinator is responsible for the practical classes taught in his/her subject.

As indicated in the Teaching Guides for each subject, the first professor listed in section "3 Teaching staff who teach the subject" is the subject coordinator.

Functions of the Coordinator of a subject:

• Check that the subject syllabus is followed in all groups and that the practices are taught in their corresponding schedule.
• Decide, after prior agreement with the rest of the teachers involved in teaching the subject, the objectives of the practices to be carried out.
• Develop, together with the other teachers, a practical guide that is appropriate to the objectives of the subject.
• Form the practical groups and assign the students to those groups. Plan, in agreement with the other professors, the timing of the practical sessions and the schedule for submitting the practical reports.
• Check that the assessment criteria established by prior agreement with the rest of the teachers are the same and are applied in the same way to all groups in the same subject.
• Check with the other teachers that the appropriate material is available for carrying out the laboratory practices.
• Sign and process the minutes within the established deadlines.

Coordinator of External Internships

The main person responsible for the organizational aspects of external internships is the Vice Dean of Infrastructure of the Faculty of Physics, who will coordinate the External Internship Committee of the Faculty of Physics.

The main actions to be taken:

• Coordinate the preparation of teaching guides for external internships,
• Coordinate the planning of external internships (schedule and company availability)
• Inform and disseminate the actions carried out (website, informative talks to students)
