Students complete their training by completing the External Internships (6 credits) and the End of Degree Complement - External Internships (6 credits). These 12 ECTS credits of the External Internships will be taken by the student to obtain the Degree, according to Royal Decree 1393/2007, of October 29, with the aim of providing the student with the following skills and abilities to promote their insertion into the workforce:

• Knowledge of the organization of professional work in studios, offices, companies and public bodies.
• Knowledge of professional practice in studios, offices, companies and public bodies.
• Ability to plan actions and develop projects.
• Ability to assume responsibility for supervising a work group, assigning tasks and resources (leadership and teamwork).
• Communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills (human resource management).
• Motivation for updating, innovation and research.
• Awareness about sustainable exploitation of resources.

Para poder cursar las Prácticas Externas, el alumnado deberá haber superado los 180 primeros créditos ECTS  o todas las asignaturas de los tres primeros cursos de la Titulación.

Estas Prácticas se realizarán de forma opcional en organismos públicos o en empresas privadas del sector agrario. La Sección de Ingeniería Agraria cuenta con diferentes Convenios Marcos de Prácticas Externas. En la siguiente tabla se recogen las entidades, empresas e instituciones con las que ha colaborado la Escuela Politécnica Superior de Ingeniería para realizar las prácticas externas del Grado en Ingeniería Agrícola y del Medio Rural durante los últimos cursos académicos, junto con el número de plazas ofertadas y asignadas.
