Master's Degree in Human Resources Development and Management

Master's Thesis

The Master's Final Project (TFM) subject is compulsory and is key to the degree, since it includes the evaluation of a large number of specific and generic skills of the degree, as can be seen in the Teaching Guide corresponding.

The Master's Final Project (TFM) can be developed in two different formats:

  • Researcher: For its implementation, the structure of scientific research will be followed, which means that the standards established within the framework of the reference discipline used must be followed.
  • Professionalizer: Its core is based on the activities carried out within the scope of the degree's External Internships. It will be developed specifically in association with its content, although the tutor, together with the student, will freely determine the degree of relationship and specificity of both academic activities.

Both types of work must be summarized in a report that meets the criteria for scientific, technical, and professional communication established by the American Psychology Association (APA).

To ensure that the TFM is adapted to the characteristics of the Degree, students are guided and directed in their work by an assigned tutor. To improve the development of the subject and facilitate the preparation of the TFM Report, specific criteria are established that can be consulted in the Teaching Guide for the Subject and in the documentation published for this purpose.

Through the template, form and/or report for the evaluation of learning outcomes, the tribunals in charge of evaluating the TFM assess the scope of the acquisition of the degree's competencies and learning outcomes.

General requirements for the completion of the TFM

In order to complete the Master's Final Project, students must meet the following general requirements:

  • Any academic requirement established by the degree in its Verification/Modification Report and in the teaching guide for the subject.

Organization of the TFM

To ensure that the TFM is adapted to the characteristics of the Degree, students are guided and directed in their work by one or two tutors assigned from among the list of tutors and proposed topics.

The training activities planned for students to carry out this work are those included in the Teaching Guide for the subject, highlighting:

  • Conducting seminars or other complementary activities
  • Carrying out work (individual/group)
  • Literature review: planning and development of the TFM
  • Attendance at tutorials

The goal of tutoring activities is to support students' learning by reviewing content and materials, assessing their progress, and providing guidance on any difficulties that may arise.

To improve the development of the subject and facilitate the preparation of the Master's Thesis Report and its public defense, specific criteria are established, which can be consulted in the Subject's Teaching Guide, the Master's Thesis Regulations, and the instructions published for this purpose. More information.
