UNIVERSITY MASTER'S AND POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS OFFERED ACADEMIC YEAR 2026-2027

Access and Admission Process

The admissions procedure depends on the type of Master's program. There are two options:

  1. Masters that NO allow Conditional Registration They are: Law and Legal Representation, Terrestrial Biodiversity and Island Conservation, Bioethics and Biolaw, Marine Biology, Regional Development, Human Resources Management, Education and Information and Communication Technologies, Advanced Pedagogical Studies, Teacher Training, Psychopedagogical Intervention, Family Intervention and Mediation, Management in Marine Technologies, Nautical Management and Maritime Transport, General Health Psychology, Use and Management of Heritage View list of Master's programs
  2. Masters that allow Conditional Admission and Enrollment: the rest. Check the list

He calendar and the specific phases depend on whether or not the Master's program allows Conditional Enrollment:

Access criteria with a university degree from the European Higher Education Area

Applicants from the EESS must meet the following requirements at the time of the closing of the application period:

University degree

They must be in one of the following situations:

  • To be in possession of a official Spanish university degree.
  • To be in possession of a homologation credential issued by the competent Ministry.
  • To be in possession of a EHEA university degree that allows access to master's studies in the country where it was issued.

Language requirement

In general, it will be necessary to prove English level B1, unless the master's program establishes a different level.

Foreign students whose native language is not Spanish must provide proof of B1 level of Spanish.

Some Master's programs may require different levels of qualification, such as:

  • Master in Teacher Training
  • Master's Degree in Nonoscience and Molecular Nanotechnology

Access criteria with qualifications from outside the European Higher Education Area

Individuals with qualifications from outside the EHEA must comply all access requirements at the time of application, including:

  • The required qualification
  • The language requirement
  • The specific requirements of each Master

These qualifications do not need to be officially recognized, but the University of La Laguna must first verify that:

  • They certify a level of education equivalent to official Spanish university degrees.
  • They allow access to postgraduate studies in the country where the degree was issued.

This procedure must be started before submitting the application for admission to:

Electronic office – Application for authorization to access to study Official Master Studies with a Foreign Higher Education Degree not validated in Spain issued by a country outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

Access via this route does not imply the homologation of the degree nor its recognition for purposes other than access to master's studies

Equivalence of average grades

Applicants who have completed their studies at foreign institutions must request the equivalence of grade point averages through the established procedure

This document must be submitted along with the rest of the documentation

Otherwise, it will be assigned an average rating of 5 for the purposes of assessment

Specific admission criteria and scale for each master's degree

Each master sets his own specific admission and grading criteria, which may include:

  • Academic record
  • Suitability of the entry qualification
  • Professional experience
  • Additional training
  • Interviews or motivation letters
