The construction sector is moving towards a new conceptual framework that demands new technological, social, economic and environmental requirements and capabilities. Construction appears to be linked to new concepts such as innovation, sustainability, rehabilitation and maintenance, and new technologies applied to architectural and urban design and construction, industrialization and efficiency in the management of the entire process. This master's degree aims to train professionals in these new methodologies that are currently relevant and are emerging as one of the most innovative sectors in the field of construction management in the coming years: construction information models - BIM (Building Information Modeling), integrated management systems, environmental management systems, quality management systems, risk identification and assessment, social and environmental responsibility of construction companies, control of construction management in terms of deadlines, time and cost, analysis and diagnosis in building renovation, innovative construction technologies in building renovation, technical inspection and auditing and energy certification of buildings, as well as innovation processes and new trends in the construction sector.

  • Rehabilitation in Building, in matters such as analysis and diagnosis in the rehabilitation of buildings, innovative construction technologies in the rehabilitation of buildings, technical inspection and auditing and energy certification of buildings
  • Integrated Construction Management, in areas such as integrated management systems, environmental management systems, quality management systems, identification and evaluation of risks, social-environmental responsibility of the construction company and control of construction management in terms of time and cost.
  • This master's degree aims to train professionals in new methodologies applied to management and technological innovation in construction in areas such as:
  • Students wishing to enter must have a technical profile with knowledge of construction systems. The recommended entry profile for the Master's degree coincides with that of graduates of the degrees in Technical Architecture, Architecture, Building Engineering, Technical Architecture and Architecture. These students have the previous educational level required for access to the Master's degree, and it is not necessary to complete additional training.
  • For other related qualifications in the field of civil engineering, industrial engineering and agricultural and rural engineering, the Academic Committee will study each application individually and may, where appropriate, require the completion of additional training courses that guarantee the student has the minimum knowledge of Construction necessary to successfully complete the master's studies. These additional courses would not form part of the structure of the master's degree.

  • Project Manager/Consultant, in areas such as integrated management systems, environmental management systems, quality management systems, identification and assessment of risks, social-environmental responsibility of the construction company and control of construction management in terms of deadlines, time and cost.
  • Project manager/consultant in the field of building rehabilitation, in areas such as analysis and diagnosis in building rehabilitation, innovative construction technologies in building rehabilitation
  • Responsible for energy audits and technical inspections of buildings
