Internships

Internships in companies, organizations, and institutions are mandatory for master's programs that include them in their curriculum. They provide students with exposure to real-life situations, complementing the training they receive with the reality of the working world.

Agreements exist or are being developed with around thirty official organizations, centers, and companies.

There is also the possibility of a special internship program to be carried out over approximately ten days of field and office work in one of the Canary Islands' marine reserves.

Academic internships may be carried out in collaborating entities/companies, such as companies, institutions, public/private entities, public administrations or dependent organizations, etc.

For the development of external internships, the University of La Laguna maintains the necessary agreements with companies, organizations and institutions in which it is considered that students can acquire the professional skills appropriate to the degree and that respond to the professional profiles defined in the Report.

General requirements for carrying out external internships

In order to carry out external internships, students must meet the following general requirements:

  • Be enrolled in the degree and in the External Internship subject of your study plan.
  • Not maintain any contractual relationship with the company, institution or entity, except in the cases described in the applicable regulations.
  • Any other academic requirement established by the degree in its Me

Organization of External Internships

The degree program has structures and mechanisms for organizing, managing, evaluating, and monitoring internships. These are embodied in the Master's Academic Committee (CAM), the Internship Coordinator, academic tutors, and external tutors. At the degree level, the Internship Coordinator, listed in the Teaching Guide, is responsible for managing the course:

The Academic Committee will select and assign academic tutors to students. The degree program's Internship Coordinator, along with the academic tutors, is responsible for agreeing with the external tutors of the institutions on the number of students admitted, the duration of the placement, and the activities to be completed by the students.

For the evaluation of this activity, the student must prepare a report on the activities carried out at the internship center, which will be assessed for the quality and correctness of expression regarding the content, as well as its presentation and defense.

The general university, national, autonomous and ULL regulations governing external internships in official ULL degrees are as follows:
