The French studies journal Çédille, co-published by the ULL, reaches the first quartile of the SJR in its specialty

The SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) is a quality indicator for scientific publications based on the number of citations. The French studies journal Çédille, co-published by the University of La Laguna and the Association of French Studies Students of the Spanish University has climbed the ranks in this index until reaching the first quartile of the list (Q1), reserved for the most relevant titles, within the specialty of Literature and Literary Theory.

It is the first journal published by the Tenerife academic institution to reach this quartile (position 20 out of 82) in this prestigious international ranking, which uses the Scopus database to establish its indicators. The journal has also improved its position within the SJR in another category, Linguistics and Language, moving from Q3 to Q2.

There are two other journals published by the University of La Laguna that are indexed in the SJR: Steps. Magazine of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, co-published by the Institute for Social Research and Tourism of the University of La Laguna and the Instituto Universitario da Maia (Portugal), located in Q2; and the Journal of Philology, edited by the Philology Section of the Faculty of Humanities, in Q4.
