The Big Band Sax Pack, led by Fran Rodríguez, will offer a performance tomorrow, Friday, February 7th at 8:00 PM. charity concert in the Paraninfo of the University of La Laguna, with proceeds going to the New Family Life orphanage in Gambia. Tickets are available for purchase at Eco Tickets Tickets cost 10 euros, and it is also possible to make a donation on the same platform, even if you are not going to attend the event.
During the recital, the Big Band Sax Pack will present the show “Swing Hits”, a journey through the greatest hits of the golden age of swing. big bands from the 30s, 40s and 50s of the last century, with the collaboration of the Canary Islands artist Mónica Dorta lending her voice to this repertoire.
This benefit concert has been organized by Universidad Sin Fronteras (USF) and CAnBIA, two development cooperation NGOs that have collaborated in Gambia with the New Life Family House orphanage, located in the town of Lamin. The money raised from ticket sales will be used exclusively to fund the needs of this foster home and its surrounding community.
The activities of these two NGOs for development cooperation in Gambia have been supported financially by the Ministry of Universities, Science and Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Canary Federation of Municipalities, in addition to the collaboration of the University of La Laguna.
