Abstract

This paper deepens the knowledge about Hernando Lamberto, a Dutch sculptor who was active in Andalusia since 1578 and died in 1617. New works are identified based on published and unpublished archive data. His style is analyzed and new attributions are provided and hitherto unknown works are documented. It also delves into his biography and artistic relationships. All this is aimed at configuring the artist's catalog of works, including his facet as a stone and wood sculptor, as well as altarpiece artist.
