Biodeterioro del cuadro de San Felipe de Gaspar de Quevedo
Abstract
The study carried out Gaspar de Quevedo brings over of the biodeterioro fúngico, in the painting on San’s Philip linen, work of the Canary artist of the 17th century, has allowed us, across the proposed methodology, the obtaining and isolation of five species of fungi: Alternaria alternata, Botrytis cinerea, Cladosporium oxysporum, Drechsle-ra dematioidea, and Ulocladium botrytis. Our contribution helps to fill the emptiness that exists in this type of studies, dedicated to the painting on linen in Canaries in general and in the island of Tenerife especially, for considering them of vital importance inside the field of the Conservation and Restoration of the cultural goods.
